Solving Cat Behavior Problems
Are you frustrated or confused why your cat behaves in certain ways?
Need to know what you can do to resolve behavior problems? Keep reading.
Is your cat exhibiting any of these behavior problems?
* Hissing a lot for no known reason?
* Skittish, nervous, spends a lot of time hiding under the bed?
* Inordinately scared of noises, movement or new things?
* Acts very aggressive toward other cats?
* Finicky and picky eater?
Then you know something isn't right in their world.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could get inside your animals head, if you could understand them, and know what they are thinking or feeling?
Listen to their wisdom? Share their experiences? Ask them to help you help them by becoming a willing participant in problem resolution?
If you are a cat parent, then you are undoubtedly aware that feline temperament and characteristics will only go so far in explaining the root cause of behavior issues.
After 30 years of working directly with cats, I know that ONLY your animal can tell you certain things, like:
* If they are happy and if not, what’s needed that would make them much happier…
* What is working for them and what doesn’t work, or what just makes things worse
* What they like and don’t like, and may in fact detest or cause them to react badly
* How they actually feel in their body
* If they are in pain and if so, where, what kind of pain, when did it start, and what helps or hurts or even makes it worse
NOT answering these issues can cause behavior challenges -- if it’s not taken care of properly. Answering these questions creates clarity for both of you and will help improve their longevity and health results.
I believe that in order to help your cats, we first have to help you!
Because your cat mirrors your energy, takes on your illnesses and stressors, and because they are always reacting or responding to you -- YOU are the key to creating a healthy, balanced, happy cat... or not.
Because of all my years of experience in working with cats, I know how incredibly important, even critical, it is to first communicate directly with your feline friend to know for sure what the problem really is, where it’s coming from, to discover the unknown factors that we don’t know yet which are contributing to the problems.
We do know that your cat always does what seems right to them -- from their own viewpoint. They always do what makes sense to them.
But without communicating specifically and directly with your animal, you won’t know exactly what’s really going on from their viewpoint, or how best to resolve it.
In my extensive experience, problems could be coming from a management issue, such as food that’s not right for them or from unknown pain or undiagnosed illness, simple miscommunication or misunderstandings.. But until I communicate with them directly, we won’t know specifically how to resolve the problem.
I work with feline behavior modification and healing, working directly with your cat to make sure they are heard and that their concerns are addressed so real changes and healing can begin.
